Automatic Irrigation will work with you to design an irrigation system to meet all your needs. We use Toro products for their high quality and durability. Here are some examples of the prodcuts that we will use below.
The three main components of every automatic irrigation system are the controller, valves and sprinklers.
For most systems installed in Maine we utilize flexable poly pipe. This pipe is placed undergroud with our pipe puller. This flexable pipe can withold the different Maine seasons.
Valves are utilized to send water to each sprinkler. Each valve controls a specific group of sprinklers called a watering station or watering zone. The stations are desinged and installed according to the type of plant material to be watered, the location, and the amount of water that can be supplied to the landscape. Each valve is connected to a corresponding zone with corresponding sprinklers.
When your system is desined we will work together to determine the type of spray nozzels. We utilize both spray nozzels and drip irrigation that is pipe that is placed underground. Both examples are pictured below.
 
The Control Box is the "brain" of your system. The box can be placed inside or outside. The Control box will tell the control valves when and how long to operate. We will set up all programming and train you to on how to operate. 
An optional product is a Rain Sensor. A rain sensor can be programmed with your system and will gauge rainfall. When adequate water is on your lawn from the weather, your system will not be turned on.
